Independence Day- Happy 4th of July All!
Today the girls and I hung out while Daddy worked and then got ready to host my parents for a barbeque and swim this evening when everyone got home. Here are some snaps from the festivities:
Kaley and Caroline (with Midnight the Mouse in hand) show off their patriotic ensembles for the day.
Check out Kaley's special 4th of July Flip Flops and Caroline's special red, white, and blue Flip Flop special 4th outfit. How cute are they?!
Caroline and I were the only ones who took a dip, she is perfecting the art of boogie boarding in the pool these days. :)
Kaley and Grandma kickin back waiting for some grub...
My hubby Doug and my Dad manning the grill while watching the Caroline Pool Show...
Liney and her 1st sparkler of the night (note to readers: Caroline is obsessed with stuffed animals and Webkinz in particular. Here is her new Alley Cat from Atlanta with her. It's rare to see her in a photo without a stuffed friend of some kind). :)
Our Kaley is such a young lady, this is a great photo! (Another note to readers: Kaley is obsessed with Abercrombie, it's rare to see a photo of her without "Abercrombie splashed across her clothes (or a little moose) somewhere), LOL!
The kids took this one of us partaking in some sparkler action too, yeah!
My kids LOVE sparklers, can you tell?! Well...we hope you all had a safe and Happy 4th too!
God Bless America!

My Visit with Little Miss Bresnan
This is just how happy Lindsay is when she wakes up, adorable! This is the first morning I got to see and enjoy her before heading out for her 1st Birthday special photo shoot...
Proud Momma Chris shows Linds off after her bath...she loves duckies! Too Cute!
Here we are at said shoot entertaining each other while Mom and Dad pick out the poses they want. We had fun wandering around and shopping...doesn't she look precious in her hair bow?!
Aunt Kimmie took a page from Renata's book and tried to get a snap of the 2 of us herself...what was I thinkin?! I actually LOVE this one. :)
After the shoot, we all headed to Missy's mack daddy mansion of a house for lunch and a visit. Lindsay made herself at home playing with her best friend's phone. I have to say...I've noticed that Lindsay likes to play with any kind of phone and knowing her Mom as well as I do, I'm pretty sure this is a sign of things to come, tee hee.
This is Missy's daughter Graison and Lindsay's best friend...she is a sweetie pie too!!!
Fast forward to the next afternoon (after the Rick experience) and here is the little princess enjoying her Mom's ice cream cone. She had sore gums on this day, so I know this felt good. She is such a great shopper already too, we had fun and I shopped til we all dropped, LOL!
Linds should have been asleep a this point, but we all know girls just wanna have fun and she is no exception! So Aunt Kimmie got treated to the Lindsay Floor Show the night before I had to leave. She was so playful with her parents and enjoyed showing off her tricks...
Yeah for me, I can clap hands! And boy am I cute doing it too...love you so much little Miss and I am soooo glad I got to spend time with you and your Mom and Dad. Cant wait to see you again soon, next time I promise to bring Cousins Kaley & Caroline with me too. Miss you already sweet baby...

The Mother of All Rick Posts!!!!!!
Sorry I've been stranger lately blogger buddies, but I've been to Atlanta and back to visit with the Bresnan's, Missy, Karen and see MY man RICK SPRINGFIELD in concert. I had a total blast!!!!! Can't believe its over already. I have to say that my friends are the absolute BEST bar none! We got free tickets at a table down front (thanks M), catered dinner
(by candlelight-thanks C), a free ride there and back from Maximum Limo (thanks Mike), and a free babysitter for Lindsay (thanks Karen) so we could go AND the best people on earth to watch the concert with. I love you all so much ! We saw Scandal (who were great), Eddie Money (who was alright) and of course Rickie Poo. I got a tote commemorating the 25th anniversary of "Jessie's Girl" and the Working Class Dog album (am I really that old?!). I ordered temporary tattoos from Rick's website for us to wear...they were a big hit (although my family thought I was nuts)! I brought 18 red roses for Rick to smash and he did so with gusto...I have it on film and video, LOL! It didn't matter to me that we got poured on, that I cut my head in the limo on the way there (graceful I am not), or that I didn't get a "Human Touch" this time round cause I had the best experience yet at any of the 7 concerts I've been too solely due to the excellent company I was in! More coming in another post about the rest of the trip, but here are some snaps of my highlights. Also check out Chris's blog for her humorous post about it too.
"I Get Excited" Just thinking what he might be like...LOL! Getting ready at 38......
and for my 1st Rick show at 15 (yeah, still have the shirt)...I have been a die hard fan for over 25 years, yikes!
I AM JESSIE'S GIRL! AWESOME tat! Chris and Missy were good sports and donned em too. :)
Missy, Chris, and I heading out in style...
Pre-Show Picnic in the Park, yummy! Here's the whole gang: Chris, Kim, Missy, Donna (Chris's Niece) and Cheryl (Donna's co-worker and Rick Fan). Mike was our photographer...good man!
Missy- you are such a trooper...you realize that you are now a part of the privileged few who have been to Rick with me and survived. You passed your initiation with flying colors girl!
The ANTICIPATION is just killing me here, LOL! I'm ready for a Rick Fix. :)
OH MY! There he is, there he is...(knees starting to shake now folks)...
What a hottie! Is it possible to love someone so much that you've never met (yet)?!
"Don't Talk to Strangers" This girl Devon got called up on stage to help sing, adorable!
Everyone that knows me well knows why THIS one is my money shot (if only he was bare chested), LOL! OK, er, um....moving on:
Encore in his Australia tee
As all good Rick fans know, he does this "hug" with the audience at the end of every show and it's something we all wait for and relish. Right back at ya baby...
Here is what was left of my red roses after the show (I actually really like this shot artistically)...of course, I reached over and grabbed the ones that didn't quite make it and have to admit *blushing* that I did sleep with one that night on my pillow, tee hee... :)
GOTCHA! My best friend Ree made this for me to tide me over until I have the real deal, LOL! You were missed my friend. C and I are ready to buy that darn guitar next time you can come with us and finally get the true money shot of me and Rick! You think I'm kiddin?! NOT!
This is the shot of the human touch I had with Rick a few years ago, my hand is the one with the watch on it! Chris was so great to capture this on film for me. Of course I managed to squeeze his leather clad thigh that night too, haha! She and I have ALWAYS been able to get up close and personal and man do I love her for putting up with me on that!
Here's Chris and I at yet another Rick show a few years back. Compare this to...
Us a few nights ago, years later and happy as can be!
OK, if you've made it this far in the post, you rock as much as Rick does, LOL! More later on the rest of my time in Hotlanta...
P.S. Check out the video below too! Of course...there's always more where that came from. :)
