Ever since I can remember, I have been a Daddy's Girl. Maybe it's because I was his first daughter (a fact I tease my sisters about), but I have always looked up to my Dad. A man that could adopt me at two days old with my Mom and work as hard as he did when we were younger garnered my respect. My Dad has always been there for me: to encourage me, to kick me in the butt when I needed it (and still do), to advise me and to praise me. He motivated and inspired me to finish my college degree at age 34, something he knew I could accomplish even when I wasn't sure. . My Dad, like all of us, is far from perfect but I never doubted that he would always be there for me no matter what life threw at me. Did I mention that he had 3 other kids and was the surrogate father to one of my friends too? Even still, he taught me many things about life and along with my Mom were the best parents and role models a girl could ask for! We are not a "mushy" family regularly, but today especially I want my Dad to know how grateful I am for everything he's done for me, and for my family. He is a wonderful "Poppy" to my daughters...I see the same admiration from them that I have for my Dad. Words cannot express how blessed I feel to see my Dad instilling the same values he taught me in my daughters. So Dad, thank you for your unconditional love...I hope you know how much I love you and will always be "Daddy's Girl".
Happy Father's Day!

They're Back!!!!!!!!
Here are my gorgeous and very tan daughters back from the beach...how cute are they?
They had a fabulous time of course with their Grandparents, made some new friends and did some shopping and dining out. Can I sign up for this deal next year?! As you can see, Cheyenne missed them a bunch too! I for one, am happy that everyone is back at home safely and here with me again. I love my girls!

Beach Bums
Here are my little beach bums from Sunday when I visited. How cute are they in their matching shorts?! Makes me remember when they were younger and dressed alike all the time...I haven't seen this in quite a while...(sniff) ...OK moving on. :)
Here is my relaxing shot of the beach to admire when I am stressed...thought maybe you all might want to use it too. :) Soooo pretty!
Here's my "mini me" frolicking in the surf...she is such a fish! Caroline has loved the water from birth, it's no wonder she has a dolphin fascination.
Here's our little Diva-in-Training (no really) modeling in front of a mural in her new tankini and matching shades and perfect hair of course. :) Kaley is gorgeous, so guess she gets away with it. *wink*
Finally, remember "Cowgirl Caroline"? May I present "Cowgirl Surfer Chic Caroline ". :) Of course her t-shirt is from Marineland where she swam with the dolphins to keep with the ocean theme.
So hubby is also high tailin it outta here soon to join everyone at the beach. They are all leaving me home to care for the zoo and work. Little do they know, I will be relishing the next 3 days all to myself (while of course missing them a little too), LOL!

Well...
My sis called and wanted me to go to the beach with her and my nieces for the day. I thought it would be a great opportunity to check up on my girls, er um I mean to relax. She twisted my arm and I caved...what can I say?! I am fried and we all had a blast. I put this together as our "Ode to Summer" for you all. :)
