HOME ALONE!!!!!!

Subject (Before): Stressed out Mom who just realized that her hubby is at work and her kids have just high tailed it outta here for a week at the beach with their Grandparents. She is HOME ALONE!
Subject (After): Once the shock wore off, stressed out Mom finally figured out what to do this weekend, LOL! Of course she isn't even remotely thinking about the laundry, the bathroom that she should paint, the photo albums she has been meaning to update, the shopping she has been putting off until she can go by herself and take her time, or the various other thousand things she could be doing to take advantage of the empty house. Oh no, it's party time!

Prediction: In 3 days, Stressed out Mom will be crying she misses her kids so much and will vow never to have an empty house again (until next summer of course). :)

Girls...Ya Gotta Get 1 of These!

OK, I'm doing something I don't normally do and giving a free product plug for the Schick Intuition Plus razor. This thing is awesome! Not only do you not need to buy shave gel anymore (as it's built into the head of the razor), but I didn't have to shave my legs for 4 days after using it...can't remember the last time my gams were so smooth (and cut free). The big deal right now is that I bought this at Walgreens on sale for $3 and was thrilled. I went back today to get one for my daughter and the lovely cosmetic associate told me that there is a $2 off coupon inside. Yes, that's right, that made them only one dollar...score! Needless to say I bought 5 more for every chick in the family (C yours is coming with me in 3 weeks when I see you). As summer and swimming season is upon us, I highly recommend checking this out!

Our Animal Menagerie

The kids wanted to introduce you all to our beloved pets, so here goes:

First up is the leader of the pack, our pup Cheyenne. How can you not love that sweet face?!
She is the gentle protector of our brood.

Meet Midnight the Movie Star Mouse, Caroline's newest addition to our family. He's very tiny and very cute! He squeaks too!

This is Kaley's award winning Russian Dwarf Hamster, Oreo. To see his debut on the internet, click on Kaley's fave website and go to the April Archives. He is just adorable!

This is Janet, Caroline's chubby and smart Hamster. She is known in our family as the resident escape artist. She loves to eat anything, but especially sunflower seeds. :)

This is the baby snapping turtle that Caroline rescued one day from our pool filter, she named him Swimmy. We have been feeding and caring for him for a few months now in the hopes that we can release him into the wild when he gets big enough. He is really small and Caroline says he's pretty cute (for a turtle). I worship him from afar, tee hee.

Of course, if this wasn't enough animals in the house, Daddy has a 55 gallon freshwater fish tank in the living room. He has had these fish forever and they have gotten quite big. This one was nicknamed "Great White" by Caroline.

Here's another huge fish from our tank. Kaley nicknamed her "Turtle Face" because of the shape of her face. She's a shiny silver creature with orange fins.

So there you have it, the extended members of our clan. I keep telling the kids that we have enough pets already, but they don't seem to get the message. :)

From Flower Girl to Bride...

As requested by my blogger Sis Chris, here are some pics for comparison. The first are Erica at age 7 as the precious Flower Girl in our wedding and the last is of Erica at age 22 as a beautiful Bride. Wow, those 15 years in between flew by! :)
